This Diagonal-Topped Pallet Chest/Seat project uses only pallet materials. I made this handy, multi-purpose box for both inside and outside use, so it had to be made durable and weatherproof. Each piece of wood was weather-treated on all sides. I belt sanded, and angle ground the box until it was smooth and rounded over. Additionally, I only used Phillips screws and wood glue during the assembly. Due to the weight of the lid, I also added a pull-down support. The handle has been carved using layers of plywood and shaped using primarily a hand rasp and sandpaper. The box has been finished with Linseed oil, and the handle finished in an eggshell glaze for durability.
