I made this louvered Pallet Shadowbox Lamp so I could make some fun mini-displays. This lamp was made of pallet wood. The little people are just from a mini railway decoration set.
Make your own Pallet Shadowbox Lamp and highlight any important piece of art, awards, or collectible you want to show off!
First, dismantle a pallet. Next, cut the boards to the length you want for the back of the box. Next, cut the sides & end pieces to create a shadow box. Make it whatever depth you want, but we made this one fairly shallow. Just allow enough room for the lamp kit and bulb! Then, I cut three pieces and turned them into little louvers on the front of the box to hide the lamp kit. Be sure to pre-drill/cut out the lamp kit hole you need. Your kit should come with a template. Attach the boards together with glue and finish nails. Install the light kit and finish with some trim pieces. We mitered the trim pieces for a more finished look but didn’t sand the boards too much. Stain as you desire to match your home decor.
Thanks for sharing this fun idea! Here’s another idea – a pallet TV stand!
