This project started off as just painting an accent section in the middle, but then I was inspired. I decided to make some Pallet Wall Accents, and then backlit them!
Pallet Wall Accents – can dress up a room, add indirect light, and become a feature or a way to feature a unique piece of art!
First, I divided a section of the wall and painted the side sections a red tone. Next, I added 1×2″ strips of wood vertically to provide a frame for the offset pallet accents. I broke down several pallets and selected pieces with the most character. Some I trimmed down so that they were slightly angled to create a staggered, uneven wall with gaps to allow light through. I attached the pallets with nails and backlit them with multi-color LED lighting. I built the pallet features so I would have a wall for photographs. Finally, I put up a rope shelving for my ornaments.
Very creative idea, but why stop there? How about a Pallet Ceiling?
