Two Adirondack Chairs With Foot Rests

To begin my Adirondack Chairs With Foot Rests project, I decided to break down the entire pallet crate. The upper portion of the pallet crate was put together with long heavy staples. So, I used a hammer and a screwdriver to pull these out. Again I used a hammer and lever to pull out nails and a few more staples throughout the rest of the pallet.

Adirondack Chairs With Foot Rests – great for those lazy days in your outdoor living area, patio, garden, or poolside!

First, I measured and cut my boards. Next, I sanded them (not that well, so I call my DIY projects “rustic”), then I stained the chairs. I used a screw gun along with 2 1/2 inch screws on support pieces then 1 1/4 inch screws for areas that were less dense. I came across a pic online that gave dimensions for the footrest. However, I revised these to fit my chair’s height and width. I had to make a few adjustments but all in all, they came out pretty comfortable, or so my husband says and so did the kind gentleman I gave them to.

Editor’s note: Measurements are approximate! Measure twice and cut once as the saying goes…
