When the Swallows Come Back…. Well, if you live somewhere the swallows don’t return to, you can have some fun and make these Springtime Pallet Swallows Wall Art pieces to brighten up your outdoor living areas.
Here’s how you can Turn Ribbon, Nails, Pallet Wood Into Delicate Pallet Swallows Wall Art:
- Begin by cutting and assembling boards to the size you want (here 50 cm x 50 cm)
- Draw the swallows with chalk. You can always find a picture or template that you can print and cut out and outline.
- Place small OUTDOOR finish nails with rounded heads every 1 cm approximately. Stainless steel nails are a good choice for outdoor art projects, as they resist rust.
- Tie one end of the string onto a nail.
- Begin weaving the ribbon back and forth in a zig-zag pattern. It’s okay to wrap an entire loop around nails to secure them if you need. Keep wrapping ribbon until you’ve filled all the spaces between the nails. Finally, tie the ribbon off to a nail and tuck the end under.
- And voila !! Now, just affix a wall hanger to the back and hang it to add a bit of flair to any area.
- Repeat as many times as you wish until you have a flock!
