I made this Elegant Japanese-Inspired Pallet Coffee Table using Pine and Spruce pallet wood. The table top is 4′ x 6′ with 2″ x 2″ table legs. It is finished with a water-based transparent paint.
Inspired by a different culture? Use it to make something like this Elegant Japanese-Inspired Pallet Coffee Table!
First, I broke down a pallet. Next, I built a sub-frame and trimmed down some 2×2″ boards, angling the legs. I sanded the frame and applied a water-based transparent paint to create the two-tone effect. I planed several deck boards and carefully joined the edges, gluing to secure. When dry, I affixed the table top to the frame from beneath. I sanded everything well, then applied a wax to seal the piece.
Gorgeous! How about some Japanese-Inspired End Tables to go with this project?
