I created this Herringbone Pallet Entry Table from two pallets. The table measure 16″ wide x 50″ long x 42″ high. Additionally, I used 1/2″ plywood to 17″ x 52″. The herringbone pattern is made from deck boards cut to 17″.

I installed the pallet deck boards onto the plywood using glue for extra strength. Also, I used 1.5″ finish nails to attach the pallet deck boards. I cut the excess off after installing, trimming the top down to 16″. Next, I palm sanded the ends to a smooth surface. The table frame was made from two 2″ x 4″ x 8′ boards cut into 48″ length. I also glued pieces together and used 3″ wood screws to complete frame. Then I cut the legs from 4″ × 4″ posts to 40″ lengths. I attached the legs to the frame with 4″ wood screws and wood glue for extra strength. Next, I attached the table top on top of the frame and nailed the top into the legs with 3″ finish nails. I made pocket holes on the frame to also attach the table top to the frame with 2″ screws.
This Pallet Entry Table would look beautiful indoors or outdoors! It would even be a great potting bench for a stylish garden!
I gave a light sand to the entire piece to keep it rustic and then used wood burning techniques to bring out wood grain. Finally, I applied a dark red mahogany stain and coated with a clear polyurethane when dry.
