I made my Easy Pallet Outdoor Chair using two pallets, and finished it in only 2 hours! I designed an easy version of a classic Adirondack Chair and purposely used beautiful “defects” to feature on the armrests and seat back. Additionally, I avoided having to make a lot of complicated angles to slope the chair for comfort.

First, I cut two stringer boards to the length I wanted – seat depth plus the rear leg length. This can be varied to your needs. Next, I cut another stringer to the inside width of the seat and secured it from the outside through the stringer legs. This piece allows you to install the seat and seatback slats, so use a sturdy board! I cut another stringer board for the seatback support, and cut it wide enough to mount the arm rests too. Add another deck board higher up to support the seatback. Scraps of stringers were used to provide additional support under the armrests. Add deck boards to the seat and seatback, and angle the tops of the seatback slats any way you want. Same with spacing – have the boards close or spaced a bit to your liking!
