I made this Crooked-Backed Bench Seat based on similar designs I’ve seen on the ‘net. It measures 5’×16″×13″ seat depth, floor to top of backrest 4’3″ made with upcycled fencing slats. Other reclaimed materials include 2″×4″ 2″×6″ 1″×8″,  screws, nails, stain and urethane.

Use this Crooked-Backed Bench Seat as inspiration for your own Pallet Bench!

You only need two to three pallets to complete this, and if you use other upcycled materials, it makes it even more unique.

I wanted to do something a little different. I liked the idea of tilting the backrest to one side, to make it look like it is leaning.

Getting all the wood prepped up for my bench.

The underside view of the bench seat – here is how I framed it up.

Here is another view of the seat frame.

Complete, but not sealed. I am pleased with how the fence posts turned out as the bench seat back.

This bench has a straight backrest.
