I made this Pallet Wood Puppy Toy Box for my daughter as a place to organize all of her new puppy’s toys. Currently, the puppy thinks the box is the most excellent place to play, but it’ll outgrow this little box soon. :) This pallet project was made from solar panel pallets. Solar panel pallets are longer, and the wood is typically uniform.

This little box measures 14.25” deep x 9.25” tall in front x 12.5”tall in back & 39”wide. The height difference is so the box could slide under stairs to 2nd floor. For easier sliding, the sides are a board width higher (5/8” or .625) than the front & back. Also, the four bottom corners two front & 2 rear were rounded using a can of beans for the radius. The can kept the rounded corners consistent and snapped to do. Then the front and back bottom board widths on both sides were round cornered routed; again for smooth sliding.

We cut little dog bone shapes as decorations & handles. Bones are approx 6” width. I cut the bones with a Forstner bit (1.125”) lined up horizontally & not in line vertically. 2 holes on each side overlapped then connected straight with a jigsaw. All edges were round routed. The bone on the side panel works as a handle for pulling the box out from under the stairs. The front left and right bones are for easy lifting/carrying. I cut out the vinyl stickers on my plotter.
