This pallet turntable stand & LP records cabinet is mainly made with repurposed materials: pallets, legs of an old piece of furniture, hinges, and chain. Only the handle was purchased.
It took me around 20 hours to build this piece of furniture. After making a sketch and measuring my devices (amp, turntable, mixer & vinyl), dismantling the wood pallets, making the box, done intensive sanding… redrawing the sketches, as at the beginning, the amp should have been on the shelf and the mixer should have been on slides, I then decided to put the amp under the turntable and make a movable structure. Then, I proceeded with the installation of the door. Finally, I’ve applied a colorless matt varnish for a natural look. Installed the feet and finished!
Ce projet est essentiellement fabriqué avec de la récupération: palettes, pieds d’un ancien meuble, charnières et chaîne. Seule la poignée à été achetée. De longues heures de travail ont été nécessaire pour ce meuble. Après un croquis et la prise de mesure des appareils (ampli, platine, table de mixage, vinyles), démontage des palettes, réalisation du caisson, ponçage intensif… redessinage de croquis, à la base l’ampli devait être sur l’étagère et la table de mixage devait être sur des coulisses. J’ai par la suite décidé de mettre l’ampli sous la platine et de faire un entourage amovible. Mise en place de la porte. Vernis incolore mat pour un aspect naturel. Les pieds et terminé !
