Materials needed
This is what you'll need to build this pallet dog bed:
- 1 pallet
- jigsaw and reciprocating saw
- a sanding machine with 100 sanding paper
- hammer and nails
- stain
- of course safety tools
Saw the pallet in half
Firstly saw the pallet in half and again in half.
Measure the depth of the pallet dog bed
Then, measure the depth of the pet bed. It’s 17.3 inches and needs 6 pieces slats in this size: 2 for the top, 2 for the side and 2 for legs.
After that, you'll need one more plank from the rest of the first half pallet – it’s 24.8 inches long – and one cube. And the last plank you need is a 13.7 inches long for the front.
Create the entry of the bed
Saw a 8.6 inches wide gap by the right side.
Fix the pallet cube to the left of the entry – it will be the left side of it.
Sand the surface thoroughly with a 100 grit sanding paper.
You can use a rotary tool by the edge and the hard approachable surface.
Stain or Paint the bed
Brush the dust off remaining from sanding and start to stain or paint depending of your personal taste.

If you want to give a personal touche to your pallet pet bed, you can paint some little paws on it with white metal paint.
