Building A Pallet Wood Electric Guitar

A fully functional electric guitar with a laminated body made from salvaged pallet wood. The guitar features a bolt-on maple neck with a maple fingerboard, 24 frets, 25.5″ scale length, and locking tuners.

The neck was built with store bought-lumber because I didn’t have any pallet boards long enough for the neck blank. The body is laminated using a variety of contrasting pallet boards.

The body features a hardtail bridge, dual humbucker pickups, and a single volume and ton knob. This is a functioning, solid body electric guitar that can shred with the best of them!

I decided to build this guitar to prove that good electronics and solid construction are more important to the sound of an electric guitar than the “Tonewoods” used. I also enjoyed using lumber that would have otherwise been thrown away.

Need a stand for your guitar, check out these guitar wall stands out of pallet or this guitar floor stand.
